Custom Artwork Commissions

Welcome to the custom artwork commissions page. I have created this page to answer your questions and provide clear guidelines on private commissions. Below, you will find detailed information on the different types of custom pieces available, how to navigate the process, and what to expect.
The Commission Process
How do I begin and what are the steps?
- Inquire About Availability: Check my social media or contact me directly to see if I am currently open for commissions. Provide details about your project vision, including the medium, style, and intended use.
- Fill Out the Inquiry Form: Describe your project's size, detail level, and any specific requirements to streamline the process. Please include reference images if you have them.
- Discuss Details and Pricing: Once your inquiry is received, I will send you a project proposal and pricing chart that includes a timeline and initial deposit details to ensure our visions align.
- Approval and Initial Payment: An initial deposit secures your spot and allows me to begin sketching and developing your custom piece. (Note: Playmat payments are structured differently; see the Playmat section below.)
- Creation Process: You will receive sketches to review the overall composition and color palette. Your feedback during this phase is crucial to ensure the final artwork meets your expectations.
- Final Artwork and Delivery: Upon completion, the final digital files, prints, or original pieces will be delivered according to the terms outlined in our agreement.
General Artwork Pricing & Timeframes
- Timeframe: The completion time depends on my schedule, the size of the project, and the complexity of the commission. Each commission is different, and the timeframe will vary based on our agreement.
- Costs: Prices vary based on the project's scope, medium, size, and detail level. Black and white ink commissions range from $150 to $500, while original hand-painted works start at $500 and can increase significantly based on complexity and required rights.
- Payment Structure: Typically, a 50% deposit is required upon agreement, with the remaining balance due upon completion. This ensures clarity and mutual understanding in our contract.
Custom Painted Alters

Transform your standard trading cards, like Magic: The Gathering, into legendary, unique works of art. This creative process involves extending original designs, adding thematic elements, or creating entirely new visuals while keeping the cards functional for gameplay.
Pricing
- Small Painted Alter ($25–$50): Commissioned painting covers 25% or less of the card image.
- Medium Painted Alter ($200–$350): Commissioned artwork covers 50–75% of the card area.
- Full Alter ($350–$500): Painted commission covers over 75% of the card area, extending to the borders or obscuring the image and text boxes.
Alter FAQ
- How are they made? Every card alter is hand-painted using top-quality acrylic paints after carefully preparing the card. A clear lacquer varnish is applied afterward to protect the card and bring out the paint colors while keeping the card's luster. It is recommended to store all cards in a sleeve for protection.
- Are they tournament legal? Artistic modifications are acceptable in sanctioned tournaments as long as they do not make the card art unrecognizable, contain offensive images, include substantial strategic advice, or obscure the card's name and mana cost. It is always recommended to ask your head judge.
- Refund Policy: All sales are final and no refunds are offered, as these are original art requests.
Custom Handcrafted Playmats

An original or custom art playmat is a functional, unique piece of art designed for tabletop games, collectible card games (CCGs), and trading card games (TCGs). Unlike mass-produced items, every playmat is hand-drawn by me, tailoring it to reflect your personal style.
Features & Collectibility
- Hand-Drawn Artwork: Each mat is crafted entirely by hand, ensuring no two are alike. You can choose between a black-and-white sharpie sketch or a full-color marker and ink playmat.
- Size and Quality: Playmats measure 14" x 24" and are created on high-quality, stitched-edge blanks. I currently use 3mm stitched-edge blanks, but future mats will utilize 2mm waterproof variations.
- Certificate of Authenticity: Each playmat comes with a hand-signed and titled certificate of authenticity to verify it is an original, one-off artwork.
- Prestige: As highly sought-after, hand-drawn pieces, these collector-based prestige items sell quickly.
Pricing, Timeline & Policies
- Cost & Payment: Playmats cost between $350 and $500, depending on the detail and work involved. Payment is not taken until the mat is completed to ensure your 100% satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the final product, I retain the mat for resale to other collectors.
- Timeline: Custom playmats can take from 1 month to a year to complete, as I balance these projects with professional events and commissions. If you need a playmat by a specific time, I may be able to accommodate you with at least 3 weeks' notice.
- Care Instructions: These permanent mats should be treated as original works of art. Do not wash them, as this could damage the hand-drawn artwork.
- Shipping: Shipping costs are calculated separately and are not included in the playmat's price. I ship via USPS within the continental USA (other options available upon request) and exclusively use FedEx for European orders.
Custom Tokens

Bring your game to life with a custom-commissioned TCG token—a helper card used during gameplay to represent creatures, objects, or effects created by another card.
Features & Pricing
- The Artwork: Each custom token is an original hand-drawn piece, sketched directly onto a sturdy 14-point coated blank-face trading-card-sized token using permanent black or white ink. Tokens can be left as clean black-and-white ink drawings or finished with marker color layered over the drawing. Because they are hand-drawn, every token has its own character and small natural variations.
- Cost: Individual hand-drawn custom tokens average between $25 to $50 per token.
- Bulk Tokens: I also create original token artwork for professionally printed token runs of 50, 100, or more, which are perfect for giveaways, tournaments, events, game stores, or deck accessories. Contact me with your desired quantity and preferred style (black-and-white or color) for custom art and print pricing.
