What is an Original or Custom Art Playmat?

An original or custom art playmat is a unique, functional piece of art, designed for use in collectible card games (CCGs), trading card games (TCGs), and other tabletop games. Unlike mass-produced playmats, each of my playmats is hand-drawn by me, making it a truly one-of-a-kind creation tailored to reflect your personal style and enhance your gaming experience.

Features of My Custom Playmats

    • I create black-and-white sharpie sketch playmats and full-color marker and ink playmats.
    • Each playmat is crafted by hand, ensuring no two are alike.

  2. Size and Quality:

    • Playmats measure 14" x 24" and are made from high-quality, stitched-edge blanks.
    • I currently use 3mm stitched-edged blanks, but future mats will be made with 2mm waterproof variations.

  3. Certificate of Authenticity:

    • Each playmat includes a hand-signed and titled certificate of authenticity, verifying it as an original, one-off artwork.

  4. Customization:

    • You can request a specific genre or theme for your playmat.
    • I create basic idea sketches before inking and send these to you for approval before starting the final artwork.

  5. Prestige and Collectibility:

    • These playmats are collector-based prestige items, featuring original, handcrafted artwork by me.
    • As unique, hand-drawn pieces, they are highly sought after and sell quickly.

    Pricing and Payment

    • Playmats cost between $350 and $500, depending on the level of detail and work involved.
    • I do not take payment until the mat is completed, ensuring your 100% satisfaction.
    • If you’re not satisfied with the final product, I retain the mat for resale to other collectors.

      How Long Does It Take?

      • The timeline depends on my schedule and workload, as I balance these projects with professional commissions and events.
      • Custom playmats can take anywhere from 1 month to a year to complete.
      • If you need the playmat by a specific time, I may be able to accommodate with at least 3 weeks’ notice.


        Care Instructions

        • These playmats are permanent but should be treated as original works of art.
        • Do not wash them, as this could damage the hand-drawn artwork.

        Shipping

        • I ship within the continental USA via USPS, with options for other carriers upon request.
        • For European orders, I use FedEx exclusively.
        • Shipping costs are not included in the price of the playmat and are calculated separately.
